  1. What is Multiple Sclerosis (MS)? Multiple sclerosis affects the myelin sheath, a protective layer surrounding nerve cells, causing communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body.

  2. Can MS be cured? There is currently no cure for multiple sclerosis. Treatments differ from person to person. Treatment may consist of: steroids, medications, exercising regularly, healthy sleeping patterns, and rehabilitation.

  3. Are there different types of MS? There are 4 types of MS: Clinically isolated syndrome (CIS), Relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS), Secondary progressive MS (SPMS), Primary progressive MS (PPMS)

  4. Who is most at risk for MS? The condition can affect people of all ages, but it is more common among young adults and females.

  5. What are common symptoms of MS? Commonly reported symptoms include vision problems, difficulty walking, poor balance, foggy headedness, numbness in limbs, stiffness, depression, and fatigue.
