1) HIV is the human immunodeficiency virus. This virus weakens the immune system by fighting the CD4 cells, which fight infections.

2) If HIV is left untreated, it can progress into AIDS.

3) With modern medicine, HIV is not longer a death sentence!

4) HIV is mainly transmitted through unprotected sex, shared needles, and mother to child.

5) HIV is not isolated to any single group. It can affect anyone participating in these activities.

6) Just because you look healthy and are asymptomatic does NOT mean you do not have an STD/STI

7) Two condoms IS NOT better than one!
